SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- The Providence College volleyball team was defeated at Seton Hall University, 3-1, Saturday evening in South Orange, N.J. in a BIG EAST Conference volleyball match.

The Friars (16-11 overall/2-5 BIG EAST) won the first game of the match, 15-11, but were unable to hold of the Pirates (8-16 overall/1-6 BE) as Seton Hall won the final three games, 15-5, 15-13 and 15-3, to capture their first conference match of the season.

Providence junior outside hitter Sarah Katinger (Stratford, Conn.) led all players with 21 kills and 17 digs in the match. Classmate Annie Cella (Burr Ridge, Ill.) added 15 kills and 13 digs in the loss for the Friars.

Seton Hall was led by Kari Belin, who totalled 19 kills and had three blocks.

Providence returns to action on Sunday, October 29th when they face Rutgers University at 2:00 in New Brunswick, N.J.
