Providence College Women’s Soccer Secures 1-0 Win Versus Sacred Heart

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's soccer team defeated Sacred Heart  (1-2-1), 1-0, on Sept. 3 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in Providence, R.I. The Friars improved to 3-1-0 overall, while Sacred Heart dropped to 1-2-1. Freshman Isabella Kloock-Jensen (Aabenraa, Denmark) scored the game winner on her first career goal. The Friars limited Sacred Heart to one shot in the match.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
• Providence held an early advantage over Sacred Heart as they limited the Pioneers to zero shots in the first half. Both teams remained scoreless after 45 minutes of play.
• In the 60th minute (59:03), Isabella Kloock-Jensen (Aabenraa, Denmark) scored her first career goal and gave the Friars a 1-0 lead. Thaea Mouratidis (Toronto, Ont.) sent a cross into the left side of the box, and Kloock-Jensen beat the keeper in the top right of the goal.  
• In the 79th minute (78:39), Ellie Thallman (Northville, Mich.) saved the Pioneers' lone shot on goal. Thallman extended to punch Sacred Heart's shot over the crossbar.
• The Friars outshot the Pioneers 21-1, and held a 13-1 advantage in shots on goal.
