SCOUTING PROVIDENCE (4-1):
• Providence enters the weekend with a 4-1 record.
• Before suffering its first loss of the season on Sept. 14 against New Hampshire (4-3, OT), Providence started the season 4-0 for the first time since 2006. The Friars last started 4-1 in 2019.
• Junior
Carly van Benten leads the team in points (10) and assists (six). She also has scored two goals. Each of her offensive totals mark single-season career highs.
• Van Benten is tied for first in the BIG EAST and ranks fifth in NCAA Division I field hockey in assists per game (1.20).
• Nine different players have scored at least one goal this season through five games, including five multi-goal scorers.
Bo Martina leads the team in goals, with four.

Lily Procaccianti are tied for second on the team in goals, with three each.
• Martina (0.80), Ftorek (0.60) and Procaccianti (0.60) are all ranked inside the top-10 in the BIG EAST in goals per game.

Ava Porter has started all five games in the cage for Providence. She owns a 4-1 record and has compiled a 1.37 goals against average and a 0.794 save percentage. She has one shutout on the season (4-0 vs. Bryant).
• Porter ranks first in the BIG EAST and 13
th in NCAA Division I in save percentage (0.794).
• Porter has been honored by the BIG EAST twice this season. On Sept. 2, she was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, following Providence's season-opening win at Boston University (3-2 - 2/OT, SO). On Sept. 9, she was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her performance in wins over Holy Cross and Merrimack.
• Providence leads the BIG EAST in penalty corners (48), averaging 9.6 per game. ODU ranks second in the league in that category (48), averaging 8.0 per game.

SCOUTING OLD DOMINION (2-4):
• Old Dominion enters the weekend with a 2-4 record.
• Two of the Monarch's four losses have been decided by one goal, including a 2-1 loss to then-No. 10 Princeton on Sept. 5.
• ODU has outshot five of their six opponents this season with the only exception being Princeton. Overall, the Monarchs have a 96-41 advantage in shot attempts this season.
• ODU has held a lop-sided advantage vs. their opponents in penalty corners. ODU has drawn 48 attacking penalty corners in six games (8.0 per game), compared to their opponents, who have combined to earn 18.
• Josie Painter and Sian Emslie are tied for the team lead in points, with 10 each. Painter owns a team-leading five goals, while Emslie has recorded four goals and two assists.
• Serena Langendoen is third on the team in scoring with nine points on four goals and one assist.
• Suus Broers has played all six games in goal and owns a 1.76 goals against average and a 0.630 save percentage.
SCOUTING AMERICAN (1-4)
• American enters the weekend with a 1-4 record, which includes two one-goal losses to No. 5 Duke (2-1) and No. 13 Saint Joseph's (1-0).
• American opened the season with a dominant 10-0 win over William & Mary on Aug. 29 but have dropped four-straight matches.
• The Eagles will open Patriot League play at Boston University on Friday, Sept. 19 before making their way to Providence.
• The offense is led by Agustina Roffo, who has recorded seven points on three goals and one assist.
• Jordan Reicher is second in scoring with five points on two goals and one assist.
• Ninthe Botman rounds out the list of multi-goal scorers, with two goals (four points).
• Pauline Gineste owns a 1.80 goals against average and a 0.700 save percentage through five games as the team's primary goalkeeper.
WHAT'S NEXT:
• Providence will close out its seven-game home stand next weekend with a pair of games against Georgetown and Hofstra at Lennon Family Field. The Hoyas come to town on Friday, Sept. 26 for a 3:00 p.m. start on ESPN+. Providence finishes the weekend with a non-conference tilt against Hofstra on Sunday, Sept. 28 at Noon. The Friars game against the Pride will be streamed on Friars Live.
