Volleyball Set To Host Xavier And Butler

The Friars face Xavier on Friday, Nov. 7 at 1:00 p.m.
PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Providence College volleyball team is home this weekend for two BIG EAST matches at Alumni Hall in Providence, R.I. The Friars will play Xavier on Friday, Nov. 7 at 1:00 p.m. Providence will then face Butler on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 4:00 p.m. Saturday's match will serve as the program's annual senior day. A pre-game ceremony will be held to honor two players, Hadley Pride and Ava Enriquez.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS… The Friars enter the weekend with an 11-14 record and 2-10 mark in the BIG EAST. Most recently, The Friars defeated Seton Hall (3-2) and fell to St. John's (3-2).
Sophomore Sophia Adkins (Cincinnati, Ohio) leads the Friars' offense with 322 kills. She ranks sixth in the BIG EAST with an average of 3.46 kills per set.
Junior Lyric Berry (Wylie, Texas) leads Providence with 117 blocks and averages 1.27 per set, which ranks first in the BIG EAST.
Redshirt senior Hadley Pride (Nashville, Tenn.) averages 5.22 digs per set, which ranks first in the BIG EAST and sixth in NCAA Division I. She has recorded 485 digs.
SCOUTING XAVIER… The Musketeers enter the weekend with a 22-2 record and are 11-1 in the BIG EAST. Most recently, Xavier defeated Villanova (3-0) and Georgetown (3-0).
Junior Macy Hatkevich was named BIG EAST Setter of the Week. She has recorded 797 assists and ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with an average of 9.06 assists per set.
Redshirt freshman McKinley Boehm was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. She ranks second in the BIG EAST averaging 1.17 blocks per set and has recorded 105 blocks.
Sophomore Kelsey Niesen has recorded 352 digs and averages 3.91 digs per set, which ranks fifth in the BIG EAST.
SCOUTING BUTLER… The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 12-13 record and 5-7 mark in the BIG EAST. Most recently, they defeated Georgetown (3-1) and fell to Villanova (3-1).
Junior Elise Ward was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. She has recorded 259 kills and averages 2.88 kills per set.
Junior Kaylee Finnegan leads the team in assists with 724. She averages 8.23 assists per set, which ranks sixth in the BIG EAST.
Sophomore Lauren Evans has recorded 384 digs and ranks third in the BIG EAST averaging 4.27 digs per set.
Sophomore Alaleh Tolliver ranks third in the BIG EAST in kills per set (3.84) and sixth in the BIG EAST in aces per set (0.44).
