Volleyball Prepares For Seton Hall And St. John’s On The Road

The Friars will face Seton Hall on Friday, Oct. 31 at 5:00 p.m. in South Orange, N.J.
PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Providence College volleyball team is on the road for two BIG EAST matches this weekend. The Friars will play Seton Hall on Friday, Oct. 31 at 5:00 p.m. in South Orange, N.J. Providence will close out the weekend against St. John's on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 3:00 p.m. in Queens, N.Y.

SCOUTING THR FRIARS… The Friars enter the weekend with a 10-13 overall record and 1-9 mark in the BIG EAST. Most recently, they fell to No. 13 Creighton (3-0) and Connecticut (3-1).
Sophomore Sophia Adkins (Cincinnati, Ohio) leads the Friars' offense with 293 kills. She ranks sixth in the BIG EAST with an average of 3.53 kills per set.
Junior Lyric Berry (Wylie, Texas) leads Providence with 103 blocks and averages 1.26 per set, which ranks first in the BIG EAST.
Redshirt senior Hadley Pride (Nashville, Tenn.) averages 5.36 digs per set, which ranks first in the BIG EAST and fourth in NCAA Division I. She has recorded 445 digs.
SCOUTING SETON HALL… The Pirates enter the weekend with a 6-15 record and are 0-10 in the BIG EAST. Most recently, they fell to Butler (3-0) and Xavier (3-0).
Freshman Sadie Reich leads the Pirates' offense with 275 kills. She averages 3.48 kills per set, which ranks seventh in the BIG EAST.
Sophomore Gwen Alder ranks eighth in the BIG EAST averaging 5.87 assists per set. She has recorded 270 assists.
Junior Rylee Nelson has recorded 241 digs and ranks sixth in the BIG EAST averaging 3.77 digs per set.
SCOUTING ST. JOHN'S… The Red Storm enter the weekend with a 6-17 record and 2-8 mark in the BIG EAST. Most recently, they fell to Xavier (3-1) and Butler (3-2).
Senior Erin Jones was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. She leads the team in kills with 268, averaging 3.15 kills per set which ranks 10th in the BIG EAST.
Junior Rashanny Solano Smith has recorded 336 digs and ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with an average of 3.95 digs per set.
Freshman Martina Capponcelli has recorded 458 assists and averages 5.45 assists per set.
