Dartmouth, N.H.– The Providence College volleyball team was defeated by Dartmouth College in four sets (3-1) on Friday, September 20 in Dartmouth, N.H. to kick off the Dartmouth Invitational.
FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS: Providence earned a 25-17 victory in the first set.
- The Friars got off to a quick 10-3 lead.
- Dartmouth began to chip away, cutting the Friars lead to 14-7.
- Providence extended its lead to 18-8.
- Dartmouth went on a 5-1 run to narrow the score to 19-13, forcing Providence to take a timeout.
- The Friars maintained their lead throughout the set to win 25-17.
SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS: Dartmouth won the second set, 25-13.
- Dartmouth jumped out to a quick 5-0 start, forcing Providence to call a timeout.

- Dartmouth went on a 12-3 rally, extending its lead to 21-8.

THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS: Dartmouth took the third set, 25-22.

- The Friars answered with a 5-0 run to tie the set, 19-19, forcing Dartmouth to call a timeout.

FOURTH SET HIGHLIGHTS: Dartmouth won the fourth set, 25-23
