Diego Batista (Barcelos, Portugal) led the Friar offense with two shots on goal.

The Friars will travel to Amherst, Mass., to play the UMass Minutemen (0-0-2) on Monday, Sept. 2. Kick-off is slated for 4:00 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
This will be the Friars' first time on the Minutemen's home turf since 1994 when Providence fell, 3-0, to UMass under former Head Coach Bill Doyle. UMass holds an 11-10 all-time series advantage over PC. In their most recent matchup last season, the Friars were defeated, 3-2, by the Minutemen on Sept. 9, 2023 in Providence, R.I.
