NEWTON, Mass.- The Providence College men's soccer team tied the Boston College Eagles, 1-1, in a non-conference matchup on Monday, Aug. 26 in Newton, Mass. The Friars moved to a 1-0-1 on the season, while Boston College picked up its second-consecutive tie to start the season (0-0-2). Graduate forward 
Aidan Davock (Medway, Mass.) netted the equalizer for Providence in the 62
nd minute.

• Davock countered in the 62nd minute with a one-touch finish that landed just inside the near post. Freshman 
Vasco Teixeira (Arrentela, Portugal) was awarded the assist. Teixeira has recorded an assist in each of the Friars' two games to open the season.
• Seven Friars combined to attempt 17 shots. Freshman 
Gabriel Chavez (Wethersfield, Conn.) attempted three shots and each of his three shots were on target.
