Men’s And Women’s Track And Field Teams Compete In Second Day Of UCF Invitational

Maeve O’Neill claimed first in the 800 meters.
ORLANDO, Fla.– The Providence College men's and women's track and field teams competed in the second day of the University of Central Florida Invitational on Saturday, March 16 at the UCF Soccer Complex in Orlando, Fla. Maeve O'Neill (Cork, Ireland) claimed first in the 800 meters.
In the 800 meters, Maeve O'Neill (Cork, Ireland) led the Friar women with a personal best time of 2:05.95 to place first. Following O'Neill was Alex O'Neill (Ennis, Ireland) in 2:07.07, Halle Atkinson (Franklin, Mass.) in 2:09.84 and Kiera Hall (Christchurch, New Zealand) in 2:11.19. Polly Bogdan (Rochester, N.Y.) finished in 2:13.58 and Lexi Brent (York, Maine) ran a personal best of 2:13.83.
Nicole Borowiec (Denville, N.J.) finished the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 14.44, followed by Charlotte Cousins (Madbury, N.H.) in 15.82.
On the men's side, Brett Lehman (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) ran a 48.06 in the 400 meters. Will Rainey (San Jose, Calif.) followed in 50.51.
Tyler Bartlett (Fairfield, Conn.) finished the 800 meters in a time of 1:54.41.
Jon Mignacca (Seekonk, Mass.) reached a mark of 2.01 meters in the high jump.
The Friars are back in action March 28-30 at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C.
