PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 11 Providence College men's ice hockey team skated to a 2-2 tie against Northeastern on Friday (Nov. 8) at Schneider Arena. The Huskies earned the extra point in the Hockey East standings with the 1-0 win in the shootout.

NOTES
- The Huskies jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, as forward Joe Connor beat Svedebäck high glove-side 1:16 into the first period.
- Providence knotted the game at the 7:14 mark in the second period, as Logan Will connected on a tic-tac-toe effort in the slot after passes from Trevor Connelly and Will Elger.
- Northeastern retook the lead 4:24 later, as Jack Williams ripped a one-timer in front, capitalizing on the power-play and putting the Huskies ahead 2-1.
- The Friars tied the game up with just under four and a half minutes to play in the second period, as Graham Gamache put away a rebound in front of Whitehead, beating him low glove-side to make it a 2-2 contest. Andrew Centrella and Tanner Adams were each credited an assist on the tying score.
- Providence looked like they took a 3-2 lead 7:54 into the third period, but after a Northeastern challenge, the scoring play was waived off for goaltender interference, keeping the game knotted at 2-2.
- Neither team connected through the end of the third period, sending the game to overtime. At the end of regulation, Northeastern outshot Providence 41-34.
- After an early power-play opportunity for the Friars, neither team could break the tie in overtime, leading to the final 2-2 score.
- Northeastern claimed the extra conference point with a 1-0 shootout win off a Joe Connor goal in the second round.
- Philip Svedebäck finished the night denying 40-of-42 shots, good for a .952 save percentage.
- Six different Friars scored a point in the win, highlighted by goals from Will and Gamache.
