Last Time Out vs. LIU
- The No. 10 Providence College men's ice hockey skated to a 4-3 overtime win over Long Island University on Saturday, November 23 at Schneider Arena.
- The Sharks opened the scoring midway through the first period on a Riley Wallack power-play goal, giving the visitors the 1-0 lead.
- With a second to play in the opening period, Long Island's Connor Gregga tipped a Trent Powell shot into the net, making it 2-0 on the power-play.
- Providence got their first goal of the night 6:28 into the second period when
Ryan O'Reilly redirected a
Tomas Machu shot, cutting the lead to 2-1.
- The Friars tied it up with 36 seconds to play in the second period when
John Mustard finished on a one-timer setup from
Trevor Connelly.
- Long Island quickly regained the lead 15 seconds later, as Nick Bernardo connected on a shot from the blue line to put the Sharks ahead 3-2 through forty minutes.
- With just under two minutes to play, the Friars tied the game 3-3 on the extra attacker opportunity, as

- No. 20/19 Clarkson University (9-4-1, 3-1-0 ECAC) enters their Friday night matchup with the Friars following a weekend where the Golden Knights fell to Brown 1-0 on Friday (Nov. 22) before topping Yale 4-0 on Saturday (Nov. 23).
- Through 14 games this season, forwards Ayrton Martino (4-5-9) and Garrett Dahm (4-4-8) pace the Golden Knights with four goals each, followed by three goals from six different players.
- Defenseman Trey Taylor (3-7-10) leads Clarkson in assists with seven, followed by five assists from Martino, Ryan Richardson (3-5-8), Ellis Rickwood (2-5-7), and Ryan Taylor (2-5-7).

Former Friar Brett Berard made his NHL debut for the New York Rangers on Nov. 25, earning an assist against St. Louis.

Leaman Hits Milestone
Head Coach
Nate Leaman earned his 249th career victory at Providence on Nov. 11, 2023, passing Lou Lamoriello as the program's winningest head coach all-time. On October 25, Leaman hit 400 career wins as a Division I head coach in Providence's 3-2 overtime win at Vermont. Leaman is the only Hockey East coach to post a winning record in each of the last 12 seasons.
