PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 10/11 Providence College men's hockey team fell to No. 3 Boston College in overtime by a 3-2 decision on Tuesday (Nov. 19) at Schneider Arena.

NOTES
- Boston College opened the scoring just 54 seconds into the first period, as Gabe Perrault got behind the defense before pocketing the puck through Svedebäck's five-hole, putting the Eagles ahead 1-0.
- Providence found the equalizer 27 seconds into the second period when Clint Levens put away an Austen May rebound in the slot for his second of the year. Taige Harding set up the play on a bank pass around the half-wall, earning the secondary assist.
- The Friars jumped out to their first lead of the night just over two and a half minutes later, as Ryan O'Reilly forced a turnover before driving to the net, beating Korec low glove-side to make it 2-1.
- The Eagles tied it up with just over four minutes to play in the third period, as Gabe Perrault found Ryan Leonard for a tap-in goal, capitalizing on the extra attacker opportunity on a delayed penalty and knotting the game at 2-2.
- Neither team could crack the tie in the waning minutes of the third period, sending the game to overtime. Through regulation, the Eagles outshot Providence 34-23.
- With 48 seconds to play in the overtime period, Leonard shoveled a loose puck underneath Svedebäck, giving Boston College the 3-2 win.
- The Eagles outpaced the Friars on the shot chart, finishing with 39 shots on net to Providence's 26. John Mustard paced the shots on net for the Friars with four, followed by a three-shot showing from Hudson Malinoski.
- With his goal tonight, Ryan O'Reilly now has a team-high five goals on the season alongside Tanner Adams and Will Elger.
- Philip Svedebäck finished the night stopping 36 shots, good for a .923 save percentage.
