CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – The Providence College women's basketball team fell to Boston College, 67-60, on Nov. 17 at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The Friars trailed by 17 early in the fourth quarter before staging a furious rally to get within six points. Providence evened its record at 2-2 on the season, while the Eagles improved to 4-1 overall. 
 
1ST QUARTER:
• Boston College used a 9-0 run during a span of 1:41 to gain an 11-2 lead and force a Providence timeout with 5:56 on the clock in the first.
• The Friars started the game 1-7 from the field and turned the ball over five times through four minutes of action.
• 
Emily Archibald halted the Eagles' fun with a pair of free throws on PC's first possession out of the timeout.
• Providence used an 8-2 run to cut the deficit to three (15-12) with 2:02 to play.
• Boston College held an 18-15 lead at the break.
 
2ND QUARTER:
• 
Grace Efosa opened the second quarter with a drive to the hoop to cut the lead to one (18-17).
• Providence trailed 29-24 with 5:48 on the clock, but Boston College pushed its lead to 13 with an 8-0 run (37-24).
• 
Brynn Farrell hit a three with 48-seconds left to halt Boston College's run. 
• The Eagles outscored the Friars 19-12 in the second quarter overall and took a 37-27 lead into halftime. 
 
3RD QUARTER:
• Boston College outscored Providence 11-2 over the final 4:10 of the third quarter to take a 55-38 lead.
• Providence committed eight turnovers in the frame – six of which occurred in the last 4:42 of the quarter.
 
4TH QUARTER:
• The Friars cut the deficit to nine (57-47) midway through the fourth quarter with an 10-2 scoring advantage. 
• Providence cut the lead to seven (63-56) with 55-seconds to play on six-straight points from 
Brynn Farrell at the free throw line.
• Efosa buried a three from the left wing with 30-second left to make it a 66-60 game.
• The Friars outscored the Eagles 22-12 in the fourth quarter.
 
NOTES / HIGHLIGHTS:
• 
Olivia Olsen recorded her second double-double of the season and 18
th of her career on 10 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. Her 18 boards were four shy of the Friars' single-game record (22) set by Britt King vs. Pittsburgh on Jan. 2, 1985.
• Nine of Olsen's 18 boards came off the offensive glass.
• Olsen also notched her 1,000
th career point with 7:17 left in the fourth quarter on a lay-up at the right block. She is the 38
th player in program history to reach the milestone and is now tied for 37
th all-time at Providence in career scoring (1,002 points).
• Efosa led the Friars in scoring for a third straight game with 15 points.
• Farrell (12) and freshman 
Orlagh Gormley (10) also reached double figures in the scoring column in the game. 
• Gormley scored in double figures in each of the last two games. She also contributed five boards, three assists, two steals and one blocked shot vs. Boston College.
• Providence out-rebounded Boston College, 45-28.
• The Friars committed a season-high 26 turnovers.
 
WHAT'S NEXT:
• Providence College will return to action on Thursday, Nov. 21 against Dayton. The game will be played at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio and is scheduled to tip-off at 7:00 p.m.
