Vermont earned the extra point in Hockey East play with a 1-0 win in the shootout.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's ice hockey team skated to a scoreless tie (0-0) against Vermont in Hockey East play on Nov. 16 at Schneider Arena in Providence, R.I. It marked the first scoreless tie for the Friars since Feb. 8, 2012 vs. Northeastern.

• The Friars held a 53-36 advantage in shots, including a 29-20 edge in shots on goal through three scoreless periods. The teams finished regulation deadlocked at 0-0.
