Volleyball Set To Host Seton Hall and Georgetown in BIG EAST Home Opener

The Friars will kick off the weekend against Seton Hall on Friday, Oct. 4 at 5:00 p.m.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College volleyball team is set to host Seton Hall on Friday, Oct. 4 at 5:00 p.m. before welcoming Georgetown on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 3:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS… The Friars enter the weekend with a 7-6 record and are 0-2 in the BIG EAST. The Friars were defeated by No. 6 Creighton (3-0) and Marquette (3-0) in the opening weekend of BIG EAST play.
Shaliyah Rhoden (Rowlett, Texas) leads the Friars' offense with 132 kills.
Kayla Grant ranks first in the BIG EAST in hitting percentage (.414) and has recorded 102 kills and 48 blocks for the Friars.
Jjij Lykins (Coral Spring, Fla.) leads the Friars with 163 digs and ranks sixth in the BIG EAST, averaging 3.26 digs a set.
Macy Taylor (Rowlett, Texas) has notched 59 kills, 113 digs and 14 aces.
Miller McDonald (Dallas, Texas) leads Providence with 265 assists.
SCOUTING SETON HALL… The Pirates enter the weekend with a 6-7 record. Last week, they were defeated by St. John's (3-1) and Villanova (3-1).
Senior Reagan Merk leads the Pirates' offense with 125 kills. She has also recorded 149 digs, 20 aces and 13 blocks on the season.
Sophomore Rylee Nelson has recorded a team-high 185 digs and averages 4.62 digs a set.
Senior Maddie Klungel has a team-high 313 assists.

Senior Karis Park leads the Hoyas with 189 digs and 11 aces.
Freshman Dionna Mitchell has recorded a team-high 181 kills. She has also tallied 158 digs, 22 blocks and 10 aces.
Senior William Giselle has notched 125 kills, 87 digs and eight aces for Georgetown.
