PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College field hockey team will play back-to-back road games against BIG EAST foe Old Dominion and non-conference opponent Lafayette this weekend. The Friars and Monarchs will square off on Friday, Oct. 4 at 1:00 p.m. in Norfolk, Va. Providence closes the weekend with the Leopards on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 12:00 p.m. in Easton, Pa.

SCOUTING PROVIDENCE (5-5, 1-1 BIG EAST):
• The Friars enter the weekend with a 5-5 overall record, including a 1-1 mark in BIG EAST play. Three of the program's five losses this season have come against nationally ranked opponents: No. 12 Michigan (8-1), No. 17 Boston College (3-1) and No. 14 Liberty (2-1).
• Providence holds a 2-1 record on the road this season and a 3-4 mark at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I.

Bo Martina leads the Friars in scoring with 11 points on three goals and team-best five assists. She has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on two occasions this season.

Ally DeCoste is second on the team in scoring (10 points). She leads Providence with five goals.

Macie Pennisi is third in scoring with nine points on four goals and one assist. She earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career on Sept. 24.

Florencia Talarico, who was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team in August, has recorded three assists this season. Last year, Talarico was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and landed a spot on the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
• Eight different players have scored at least one goal for Providence through eight games and nine players have registered at least one assist.

Asia Porter has played 614 minutes in the cage this season and has compiled a 2.64 goals against average and a 0.518 save percentage. She has recorded two shut-out victories through 10 games and came on Sept. 6 vs. Stonehill (3-0) and Sept 20 vs. Quinnipiac (2-0).
• Providence has out-shot its opponents 102-92. The Friars have put 64 of their 102 shots on target for a shots on goal percentage of 0.627.
• Providence has recorded 57 penalty corners this season and have yielded 53 to its opponents.

SCOUTING OLD DOMINION (5-4, 1-1 BIG EAST):
• Old Dominion enters the weekend with a 5-4 overall record, including a 1-1 mark in the BIG EAST.
• The Monarchs started the season with a 4-0 record but have dropped four of their last five matches.
• Last weekend, ODU was swept by BIG EAST foe Temple (1-0, OT) and VCU (2-1, OT).
• Offensively, the Monarchs are led by two players who have recorded double digits in the scoring column. Tess Jedeloo leads the team with 14 points on seven goals. Frederique Zandbergen has 12 points on three goals and a team-best six assists.
• Suus Broers has played nine games in goal for ODU and has logged a total of 499 minutes. She owns a 1.20 goals against average and a 0.744 save percentage.
• The Monarchs have outshot their opponents, 124-68, including an 83-45 edge in shots on goal.
• ODU has drawn 66 penalty corners, while giving up just 31 to its opponents.
SCOUTING LAFAYETTE (5-4, 1-1 Patriot League):
• Lafayette enters the weekend with a 5-4 overall record, including a 1-1 mark in the Patriot League.
• The Leopards will face Bucknell on Friday, Oct. 4 in Patriot League action before hosting the Friars on Sunday.
• The Leopards are 3-1 on their home field in Easton, Pa.
• Lafayette has dropped three of their last four games, with two of those losses coming against nationally ranked teams: No. 14 Syracuse (2-1) and No. 19 Penn State (5-1).
• Lineke Spaans leads Lafayette with 12 points on four goals and four assists. She has recorded at least one points in six of the Leopards' nine games.
• Stella Malinowski is second on the team in scoring with seven points on two goals and a team-best three assists.
• Alex Darrah is third in scoring (six points) and ranks second among her teammates in goals scored (three).
• Raffi Fragomeni has played 546 minutes in the cage and owns a 1.54 goals against average and a 0.725 save percentage. She has registered three shut-out victories.
