SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The Providence College men's soccer team fell to No. 1 Syracuse, 2-0, in the team's season-opener on Thursday, Aug. 24 at the SU Stadium in Syracuse, N.Y.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-The Orange took an early lead after Lorenzo Boselli headed the ball to the back of the net in the fifth minute.
-Boselli scored his second goal in the 12
th minute by a header from a corner kick from Mateo Leveque.
-
Lukas Burns made four impressive saves to hold the deficit at 2-0 heading into the half. He finished the night with six saves overall.
-Providence gained some momentum in the second half, landing two of their four shot attempts on goal.

Brendan McSorley (Randolph, N.J.) led the way for the Friars with three shots and two goals on target.
