PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team defeated Georgetown, 3-2, in the season finale.
Macy Taylor and
Miller McDonald each recorded a double-double. Taylor recorded 18 kills and 16 digs while McDonald recorded 37 assist and 13 digs.
FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS: Georgetown won the first set, 25-19.
- The Friars got off to a quick 5-2 lead to start the first set.
- The Hoyas tied the set at 11-11 causing a Providence timeout.
- Georgetown went on a 5-2 run to take the 16-13 lead forcing the Friars to use their second timeout of the set.
- The Hoyas controlled the lead for the rest of the set, winning 25-19.

SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS: Providence took the second set, 25-22, to tie the match at 1-1.
- The Friars scored six unanswered points to start the second set.
- Providence extended its lead to 11-3 forcing a Georgetown timeout.
- Georgetown went on a 9-5 run in the middle of the set making it 17-12.
- The Hoyas got the set within two points making it 20-18 forcing the Friars to call a timeout.
- The Friars closed out the set, winning 25-22.

THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS: Georgetown won the third set, 25-16, to take the 2-1 lead in the match.
- The two teams went back-and-forth to start the set making it 4-4.
- The Hoyas went on an 8-5 run to take the 12-9 lead.
- Georgetown extended its lead to 16-11 causing Providence to use their first timeout of the set.
- The Hoyas controlled the lead for the remainder of the set, winning 25-16.

Lyric Berry (Wylie, Texas) had four kills in the third set.
FOURTH SET HIGHLIGHTS: The Friars won the fourth set, 26-24, to force a fifth set.
- The two teams went back-and-forth to start the set making it 6-6.
- Providence went on a 5-3 run to take the 11-8 lead.
- The Friars extended their lead to 21-18 causing Georgetown to call a timeout.
- Georgetown went on a 4-1 run to tie the set at 24-24.
- Providence scored the next two points to close out the set, winning 26-24.
- Taylor had five kills in the fourth set.
FIFTH SET HIGHLIGHTS: Providence won the fifth set, 18-16, to win the match.
- The fifth set started with a Friars 4-3 lead.
- The Hoyas went on a 4-1 run to take the 8-5 lead.
- The Friars went on a 3-1 run to cut the score to 13-12 forcing a Georgetown timeout.
- Providence took the 14-13 lead causing another Hoyas timeout.
- The Friars closed out the set, winning 18-16.
