Women’s Soccer Ties St. John’s, 2-2, In BIG EAST Play

QUEENS, N.Y. - The Providence College women's soccer team tied St. John's, 2-2, on Sunday, October 8 in Queens, N.Y. Senior forward Meg Hughes scored a goal in today's game and now ranks in the top six all-time in career scoring at Providence College with 57 points.

GAME FLOW AND NOTES
- Nicole Gordon scored six minutes into the game to give St. John's the 1-0 lead. Her goal was assisted by Jessica Garziano.
- Gillian Kenney (Hanover, Mass.) scored 13 minutes into the second half to tie the game at 1-1.
- Meg Hughes (Rochester, Mass.) scored less than four minutes later to give Providence the 2-1 lead.
- Frederique Jean scored with 1:30 left in the second half to tie the game at 2-2. Her goal was assisted by Garziano.

(2-1) - Providence 62:26 / 2^nd - Hughes raced to a loose ball and found the bottom right side of the net. Her goal was unassisted.
