 PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's soccer team defeated Marquette, 1-0, On Thursday, October 12 in Providence, R.I. The Friars remain undefeated in BIG EAST play with a 3-0-3 record.

GAME FLOW AND NOTES
- The game was scoreless through the first half.
 
- The Friars outshot the Golden Eagles, 8-3, in the first half. 
 
- Kayla Briggs (Toronto, Canada) scored in the 81st minute of the game to give Providence the 1-0 lead. Her goal was assisted by Colleen Casey (Franklin, Mass) and Maria Paveglio (Lake Orion, Mich.).
 
- Briggs' goal was her second of the season and first of her career in BIG EAST play. Tonight's game versus Marquette marked her first on-field action since Sept. 7 versus Rutgers, having missed the Friars' last six games.
 
- Providence outshot Marquette, 15-6, including an 8-3 edge in shots on goal.
