The Friars will enter the BIG EAST Tournament as the third seed.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J.- Providence College men's soccer was defeated by Seton Hall, 1-0, in the final match of the regular season. Diego Batista (Barcelos, Portugal) led the Providence attack with four shots. The Friars enter the BIG EAST Tournament as the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 seed Creighton University.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
• The two teams played to a scoreless draw in the first half. The Friars outshot the Pirates, 7-1. Batista led Providence with three shots.
• Seton Hall opened the scoring in the 65th minute. James Boote found shot off a rebound for the goal. Hugo Gerbore and Andrea Borg were awarded the assists.
• Seton Hall almost expanded the scoring difference to two in the 78th minute after Liam Guske's shot bounced off the near post.
• Gevork Diarbian's (Cranston, R.I.) took a shot to the upper right corner of the goal in the 83rd minute. Mats Roorda made a full extension for the save.
• Seton Hall players, Ian Albuquerque and Agustin Resch were given red cards in the 87th minute forcing the Pirates to play with a man down for the remainder of the match.
• Lukas Burns (Cinnaminson, N.J.) made two crucial saves to keep the scoring to a minimum. The first in the 17th minute and the second in the 65th minute.
