PROVIDENCE, R.I.- No. 3 Providence College men's soccer defeated No. 6 Creighton, 3-0, in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals on Nov. 4 in Providence, R.I. Brendan McSorley (Randolph, N.J.) scored two goals for the Friars in the victory.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
• Providence opened the scoring in the first minute of the match. Rodrigo Vaza (Torres Vedras, Portugal) passed to Nathan Messer (London, England), who crossed the ball into Brendan McSorley for a header goal.
• Bruno Rosa (Cascais, Portugal) extended the lead to, 2-0, in the 60th minute after scoring a goal from inside of the box. Gevork Diarbian (Cranston, R.I.) was awarded the assist.
• McSorley scored his second goal of the night in the 75th minute, scoring off a cross inside of the box from Pearse O'Brien (West Hartford, Conn.).
• McSorley recorded his third multi-goal game of the season and has a career-high 11 goals on the season.
• Lukas Burns (Cinnaminson, N.J.) registered his seventh shutout of the season, marking a career high.
• The Friars will be making their 16th appearance all-time in the BIG EAST Semifinals, and fourth appearance in the last six years (2018, 2019, 2021, 2023).
• Providence will advance to the BIG EAST Semifinals to face the winner of No. 7 seed Akron vs. No. 2 Xavier, which is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 4.
• The BIG EAST Semifinals and Championship Game are slated for November 9th and 12th at Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Md.
