PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College field hockey team will conclude the regular-season schedule with a pair of road games in Conshohocken, Pa. at the Proving Grounds. The Friars will play BIG EAST foe Villanova on Friday, Oct. 27 at 5:00 p.m., with a BIG EAST Tournament berth on the line. On Sunday, Oct. 29, Providence will face La Salle at Noon.

SCOUTING PROVIDENCE COLLEGE (10-6, 3-3 BIG EAST):
• Providence enters the match with a 10-6 overall record, including a 3-3 mark in the BIG EAST.
• The winner of Friday's game between Providence and Villanova will clinch a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament, while the loser will be eliminated.
• The Friars enter the final regular-season conference game of the year in a three-way tie for third place along with Temple (3-3) and Villanova (3-3). Quinnipiac and Connecticut sit just below the log-jam at 2-4.
• The Friars have earned victories in five of their last six games.

Ally DeCoste leads the team in scoring with a career-high 18 points on eight goals and two assists. She recently tallied a hat trick in the Friars' victory over Georgetown on Oct. 20 and followed with two assists in Providence's win over Brown.
• DeCoste has scored at least two points in seven of the last 10 games for Providence. In the Friars' last three games, she has combined to score 10 points on four goals and two assists.

Celia Preveza have each recorded 13 points on five goals and three assists, and the trio is tied for second on the team in points and goals.

Bella DelNegro also has reached double figures in the scoring column (11). She has recorded two goals and a team-best seven assists.

Asia Porter has played 957 minutes in goal this season and has compiled a 1.50 goals against average and a 0.730 save percentage. She has logged three solo shut-out victories and has teamed up with fellow goalkeeper
Zoe Onken for three others.
SCOUTING VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY (8-8, 3-3 BIG EAST):
• Villanova enters the weekend with an 8-8 overall record and a 3-3 mark in the BIG EAST.
• The Wildcats have lost four of their last five games, including each of their last three matches.
• Villanova has one of the league's most prolific scorers in Meghan Mitchell. Mitchell has registered 36 points on 15 goals and six assists. Five of her 15 goals have been game winners.
• Amanda Middleman is second on the team in scoring with 22 points on nine goals and four assists.
• Six players have recorded double digits in the points column.
• Raina Smolij leads the team in assists, with 10.
• Emma Leppert has played 849 minutes in the cage for Villanova and has posted a 3.46 goals against average and a 0.605 save percentage.
• Maddi Sears has played 114 minutes and has compiled a 2.62 goals against average and a 0.688 save percentage.
SCOUTING LA SALLE UNIVERSITY (12-4):
• La Salle enters the weekend with a 12-4 overall record, including a 5-1 mark in the Atlantic 10.
• The Explorers are in the midst of a seven-game win streak and they are scheduled to face No. 14 Saint Joseph's on Friday, Oct. 27 before playing the Friars.
• Clara Larripa (27 points) and Tatum Johnson (24 points) lead La Salles offense and have accounted for 21 of the team's 47 goals.
• Larripa has recorded 12 goals and three assists, while Johnson has posted nine goals and a team-best six assists.
• Twelve players have scored at least one goal this season, including four players with 5+ goals.
• Emily Streib has played the majority of minutes in goal (673) for La Salle and owns a 2.05 goals against average and a 0.726 save percentage. Streib has compiled a 10-3 overall record.
• Ryan Curley has played 173 minutes in goal and has posted a 2-1 record. She owns a 0.69 goals against average and a 0.714 save percentage.
