- Providence jumped out to an early 1-0 at 2:26 on
Liam Valente's second goal of the season.
Parker Ford found
Luke Johnson at the point and he fired a pass onto the stick of Valente for a re-direct past Pearson.

Brett Berard looked to make it 2-0 as he went 1-on-3 for a breakaway attempt that was broken up.
- The Tigers tied it on a long point shot through traffic by Adam Robbins with 4:15 left in the opening period.
- Special teams played a big part in the second period as the teams combined for five minor penalties but neither team could break through on the man-advantage.
- The Friars rushed out of the gate in the third period, generating a majority of the offensive chances. It was Princeton that turned to transition on a 2-on-1 and took the lead at 11:22 on a goal by Nick Seitz.
- Only 21 seconds later,
Riley Duran in his first game since Dec. 31, tied the game on a backhander through the legs of Pearson.
Nick Poisson and
Bennett Schimek earned the assists.
- Poisson was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for a hit from behind with 3:42 left in regulation.
- The Friar penalty kill did the job and got back to full strength 1:18 into overtime.
- Princeton netted the game-winning goal at 3:02 as Jack Cronin fired a backhander under the crossbar.
- Providence finished their non-conference schedule at 5-4-1.
