Women’s Hockey Tops UConn On The Road, 2-1

STORRS, Conn. - The Providence College women's hockey team took down the UConn Huskies, 2-1, in Storrs, Conn. on Friday, Feb. 11. The Friars came back from a 1-0 deficit in the first period with a goal in both the second and third periods to clench the win.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-UConn struck first, 1-0, with a goal 1:34 into play from Danika Pasqua.
-Lindsay Bochna (Toronto, Ontario) found the equalizer for the Friars, 1-1, with a shorthanded breakaway goal after Hunter Barnett (Caledon, Ontario) was whistled for holding. Bochna scored her ninth goal of the season with just 49 seconds remaining in the second period.
-Freshman Ashley Clark (North Weymouth, Mass.) scored the game-winner for the Friars just 1:46 into the final period. Clark was assisted by Delaney Couture (Shrewsbury, Mass.) on the play.
-The Friars outshot the Huskies, 31-30, through 60 minutes.
