Providence College Announces Athletic Staff Promotion, New Hire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Â Providence College Athletics has announced the promotion of Nick Rojas to Assistant Athletic Director/Coordinator of Video Operations and the hiring of Mike DeMars as the athletic department's Social Media Coordinator.

Rojas is currently in his eighth season with Providence College Athletics. He arrived at Providence College as a graduate assistant in the fall of 2014 before being hired as the full-time Coordinator of Video Operations in 2016. Since his arrival, Rojas has overseen the video operations of the 2014 men's soccer College Cup run, the 2015 men's hockey national championship, as well as four NCAA appearances for men's basketball and five for men's hockey, including two Frozen Fours. Rojas received a bachelor of arts degree in television and radio from Ithaca College in 2014 and a master's degree in counseling from Providence College in 2016.

DeMars returns to Providence College after serving as a video graduate assistant from 2018-20. Prior to Providence, he spent time with two Major League Baseball organizations – the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates. DeMars was the Senior Manager, Partnership Marketing with the Orioles from 2016-17 after serving over 10 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates as a Corporate Sponsorships Coordinator (2005-06) and Manager of Client Services, Corporate Sponsorships (2006-15). DeMars received a bachelor's of science degree in sport management from the University of Massachusetts in 2004 and a master's degree in business administration with a management concentration from Providence College in 2020.
