PROVIDENCE, R.I. —Providence College Athletics announced today (April 29, 2026) a new, multi-year partnership with Flood Auto Group, naming Rhode Island's favorite Ford, Lincoln and Mazda dealership the Official Auto Partner of Providence College. As a proud sponsor, Flood Auto Group will receive significant exposure across Providence College men's and women's basketball and hockey games, with its branding displayed prominently on TV-visible, in-venue signage, across social media campaigns and digital platforms.
Flood Auto Group serves customers throughout Rhode Island, Southern Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut, with an extensive selection of new and pre-owned vehicles across its three locations. Known for its wide inventory and customer-focused approach, the dealership group delivers accessible automotive solutions to communities throughout the region.
"We are thrilled to partner with Providence College and become part of the Friar family," Owner of Flood Auto Group Marissa Flood stated. "Providence College represents the best of Rhode Island — a community built on pride, tradition, and excellence — and those are values that Flood Auto Group has shared with this region for generations. We look forward to supporting Friar Athletics and serving the students, faculty, staff, and alumni who make PC such a special institution."
The partnership also will include a range of on-campus and community-focused initiatives connecting Flood Auto Group with the Providence College fanbase. As the exclusive auto partner for vehicle fleet sales, long-term leases and routine service, Flood Auto Group will support the College's transportation needs while engaging with students, faculty and alumni throughout the year. This includes an annual "Flood Auto Day" featuring special offers for faculty, staff and students, as well as vehicle display opportunities on campus and at select fundraising events.
"This partnership with Flood Auto Group reflects a thoughtful alignment between Providence College and a trusted regional partner that understands our operational needs in support of our mission," said John Sweeney, Sr. Vice President for Finance and Business/Chief Financial Officer at Providence College. "Flood Auto Group's commitment to service, value, and community engagement will support the College's transportation and fleet needs while strengthening our connection to alumni, students, and the broader Friar community."
"As we look to be successful in this ever-changing landscape of college athletics, it is important to have corporate sponsors who will support Providence College at the highest level," Providence College Athletic Director Steve Napolillo said. "We are grateful for Flood Auto Group becoming the Official Auto Partner of Providence College. This is a wonderful example of how we can capitalize on the shared values and commitment to excellence between the Flood family and the Friar family."
"We're proud to bring Flood Auto Group into the Friar family through a partnership that delivers both strong brand visibility and meaningful engagement opportunities with our campus community," added Jeff Guarino, General Manager of Providence Friars Sports Properties.
Providence College Athletics and Flood Auto Group worked closely to develop this partnership with athletics multimedia rights holder Friars Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield – the media and technology company powering college athletics.
