Amaya Williams Earns AVCA Diversity Award

Williams is one of 18 chosen for the AVCA Diversity Award.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College volleyball graduate assistant, Amaya Williams, has been selected as one of 18 recipients of the 2022 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Diversity Award.
The AVCA Diversity Development Team developed this award to continue the AVCA's vision to advance the sport and continue to move forward with initiatives that lead to substantive change for society and the volleyball community.
The Diversity Award program will run from December 14-17 and will feature over 150 educational sessions, a Volleyball Marketplace, and activities such as a silent auction that raises funds for the AVCA Diversity Awards program. Williams was sponsored by the BIG EAST Conference women's volleyball and will have the opportunity to participate in the program.
