BURLINGTON, Vt.– The Providence College women's hockey team fell to Vermont, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 22) in Burlington, Vt.
Hayley Lunny (Bedford, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for Providence with her fifth goal of the season.

Despite Providence outshooting Vermont, 12-6, the Catamounts secured a 1-0 lead in the first period with a goal from Theresa Schafzahl at the 13:51 mark.
Vermont struck again, 2-0, with a goal at 9:27 of the second period by Maddy Skelton.
Hayley Lunny (Bedford, N.Y.) recorded the lone goal for the Friars 1:10 into the third period, 2-1. Lunny was assisted by
Brooke Becker (Orchard Park, N.Y.) on her fifth goal of the season.
The Catamounts added two more goals in the third period to close out the game 4-1. The first was scored by Kristina Shanahan at 9:21 and the next was an empty netter from Theresa Schafzahl at 18:55.
