Washington, D.C. – The Providence College women's soccer team lost to the #21 Georgetown Hoyas, 1-0, on Sunday, March 7 at Shaw Field in Washington, D.C. The Friars drop to 3-1-0 overall, 1-1-0 in BIG EAST play while the Hoyas improve to 4-0-0 overall, 2-0-0 in BIG EAST play.

-Georgetown scored the lone goal of the game with 33:01 remaining in the first half. The Hoya's Maya Fernandez-Powell passed it to Leas George, who scored the goal for Georgetown.
-The Friars were only able to get two shots on goal in the game, both in the second half. Samantha Adams (Northport, N.Y.) and Emily McCalligett (Warwick, R.I.) registered the shots on goal.
