Providence, R.I. – The Providence College women's soccer team blanked the Seton Hall Pirates, 4-0, on Sunday, March 28 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium in Providence, R.I. Elayna Grillakis (Lowell, Mass.) tallied her first multi-goal game of her career (two) in the victory. Meg Hughes (Rochester, Mass.) had a career-high five points on one goal and three assists. The Friars improved to 6-2-1 overall (4-2-1 BIG EAST). The Pirates dropped to 2-7-0 overall (1-7-0 BIG EAST).

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-The Friars struck first, just over two minutes into the action. Meg Hughes (Rochester, Mass.) found Elayna Grillakis (Lowell, Mass.) at the top of the box, who put the ball in the top left corner of the net.
-Providence scored once more before the end of the first half. Hughes dribbled by a defender in the box and scored in the bottom right corner of the net, marking her third goal of the season.
-Friars goalkeeper Emma Bodmer (Monroe Township, N.J.) had four saves in the first half.
-Providence had 12 shots in the first half. Five of the 12 shots were on goal.
- Avery Snead (Wrentham, Mass.) passed it to Hughes in the box who crossed it to a wide open Grillakis for her second goal of the day in the 64thminute. It marked her second goal of the game, and third of the season.
- Hughes found Amber Birchwell (Mastic, N.Y.) sprinting down the right wing in the box. Birchwell found the bottom left of the net to put Providence up, 4-0, and marked her second goal of the season.
-Providence had 18 shots on the day. Eight of its shots were on goal.
-Grillakis' two goals against the Pirates marked the first multi-goal game of her career.
-Hughes had a career-high five points on one goal and three assists.
-Bodmer recorded her third solo shutout of the season, with a career-high eight saves. This is the Friars' fifth shutout of the of the year as a team.
-Providence remains undefeated at home, with a 5-0-1 record at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.
