- After 45 minutes of play in the first half, the Friars and Golden Eagles went to halftime in a scoreless tie, 0-0. Providence lead in shots, 5-3.
- Marquette opened the scoring in the second half with a goal from Zyan Adrade at 46:26.
- The Golden Eagles extended their lead in the 85th minute with a goal from Lukas Sunesson.
