No. 22 Men’s Soccer Ties Marquette, 2-2

MILWAUKEE, WISC. – The No. 22 Providence College men's soccer team tied Marquette University, 2-2, on Saturday October 2. Gage Raftery (Seattle, Wash.) and Christopher Roman (Glastonbury, Conn.) each scored for the Friars.

GAME FLOW & NOTES

After 45 minutes of play in the first half, the Friars and Golden Eagles went to halftime in a scoreless tie, 0-0. Providence lead in shots, 5-3.
Marquette opened the scoring in the second half with a goal from Zyan Adrade at 46:26.
The Golden Eagles extended their lead in the 85^th minute with a goal from Lukas Sunesson.
Gage Raftery responded for the Friars giving them their first goal of the match in the 86^th minute. He was assisted by Armaan Wilson (Ontario, Canada).
Less than a minute later, Christopher Roman tied the game for the Friars. He was assisted by Simon Triantifillou (Ontario, Canada).
