PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The nation's top 25 college hockey players were announced as Division I All-Americans on Saturday (April 11) on the Hobey Baker Award recognition show aired on ESPN. Providence College's
Jack Dugan (Rochester, N.Y.) was named a First Team CCM/AHCA All-American.
Dugan finished the season as the NCAA scoring champion with 52 points on a nation-high 42 assists. He led the NCAA in points (52), assists (42), points per game (1.53), assists per game (1.24), power-play points (22) and even-strength points (30).
Dugan also topped all NCAA players with 17 multi-point games and three four-point games, while also tying for first with 27 games registering at least one point. His 23 points while a game was tied also led all NCAA players in 2019-20. He was named a Top-10 Finalist for the Hobey Baker Award – becoming the eighth finalist in program history.
In 75 career games, Dugan has registered 20 goals and 71 assists for 91 points. He was recently recognized as the Hockey East Scoring Champion and a First Team Hockey East All-Star.
It was the 28
th All-American selection in program history and the sixth-consecutive season a Friar has earned All-American accolades – Jon Gillies (2014-15), Mark Jankowski (2015-16), Jake Walman (2015-16 & 2016-17),
Jacob Bryson (2017-18),
Josh Wilkins (2018-19) and
Jack Dugan (2019-20). Dugan is just the fourth First Team selection in program history since the honors expanded to two teams in 1983-84.
