No. 11 Friars Skate Past UNH on the Road, 5-1

DURHAM, N.H.Greg Printz scored twice and Michael Lackey stopped 29-of-30 shots as the No. 11 Providence College men's hockey team erupted for five unanswered goals in a 5-1 win at New Hampshire on Saturday night at the Whittemore Center.

NOTES
- For the second-consecutive night, the Wildcats opened the scoring in the opening minutes as Filip Engaras got UNH on the board at 1:14.
Parker Ford responded just 1:55 later for his second goal in as many nights as he beat Taylor with a slap shot over the left shoulder.
- Patrick Moynihan gave the Friars a 2-1 lead at 10:46 with his ninth goal, eighth on the power play this season.
- Greg Printz extended the lead to 3-1 just as a five-minute Friar power play expired at 9:46 of the second period. Printz re-directed a Jack Dugan pass for his 13th goal of the season.
- Providence clamped down defensively in the third period, allowing just six shots on goal in the final frame.
- Shane Kavanagh sealed the game with an empty-netter with 2:56 remaining.
- Printz added his second of the night and 14th of the season with a power-play strike at 17:44.
- Thompson extended his point streak to seven games with an assist. He pushed his season point total to 37 and remains second in the NCAA in total points. He now has separate point streaks of six, seven and eight games this season.
- Dugan added to his NCAA-leading point total (42) with his 35th assist of the season.
- Providence surrendered the first goal for just the fourth time in 25 games this season.
- Patrick Moynihan recorded his sixth multi-point game of the season.
- Michael Callahan extended his point-streak to a career-long seven games with two assists. It was his seventh multi-point game of the season. He is one of seven NCAA defensemen to average at least a point per game this season.
- The Friars' improved to 6-1-2 on the road this season.
