WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Providence College men's soccer team fell, 2-1, against No. 2 Georgetown on Saturday, Sept. 28 on Shaw Field in Washington, D.C.
Andualem Chisholm (Attleboro, Mass.) scored for the Friars in the 80th minute.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
- Georgetown had its first real chance to score in the 22nd minute off a free kick. Daniel Wu headed the ball eight yards out to the lower right side of the goal that
Austin Aviza (Medway, Mass.) saved with a diving stop.
- In the 48th minute, Georgetown's Derek Dodson scored on a penalty kick putting the Hoyas up, 1-0.
- Aviza made a big save in the 54th minute off a shot by Will Sands to keep the Friars within one goal.
- Foster McCune put the Hoyas up 2-0 in the 75th minute. Dodson crossed the ball from the right and connected with McCune, who tallied the goal by Aviza in the lower left of the net.
- Chisholm brought the Friars within one (2-1) in the 80th minute as he slipped the ball past the keeper into the lower right side of the goal.
Tiago Mendonca (Faro, Portugal) brought the ball up the field to
Kevin Vang (Cranston, R.I.) who dished the ball to Chisholm in the 6-yard box.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Friars come back to Providence to take on Butler University on Friday, Oct. 4. The match is set for kick off at 7:00 p.m. on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.
