Joao Serrano Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Joao Serrano (Evora, Portugal) of the Providence College men's soccer team was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Sept. 2.
 
Serrano helped the Friars to an exciting win at home against UMass Lowell this past Friday, Aug. 30. The Friars scored four goals and held the River Hawks to zero. Serrano helped hold UMass Lowell to three shots on goal and only seven shots in total. In the 26th minute Serrano converted on a penalty kick to put Providence up by three.
 
The Friars host the University of New Hampshire tonight, Sept. 2. The match is set to kick-off at 7:00 P.M. on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.
