PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's soccer team fell to the Brown Bears, 1-0, on Sunday, Sept. 15 on Stevenson-Pincince Field. Brown scored the lone goal of the match in the 30
th minute that proved to be the difference. Providence failed to find an equalizer in the final 45 minutes despite posting 15 shots compared to Brown's 12.

- Brown gained the lead in the first half after Claire Myers delivered the ball to the top of eighteen-yard box before Ava Seelenfreund gathered it. Seelenfreund put a low shot on
Shelby Hogan (Franklin, Mass.), the ball slipped under Hogan for the lone goal of the match.
-Providence posted seven shots, including one shot on goal in the first half.
- The Friars continued to build pressure in the second half but failed to find an equalizer. Providence put three shots on net out of eight shots in final 45 minutes.
