PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Providence College men's cross-country team will travel to New Britain, Conn. to compete at the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday, Oct. 25 at 3:30. The Friar men are coming off a victory at the New England Championships in Boston, Mass. on Oct. 12. The men placed first out of 25 teams (42 points).
The Friars will be led by
Ryan Gallagher (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.),
Nick Carleo (Newburyport, Mass.) and
Liam Harris (Douglas, County Cork, Ireland). The Friars placed first out of 12 teams (29 points) last season at the CCSU Mini Meet led by a second-place finish by Gallagher (14:53.6).
At the UNH Tri Meet 5k, held on Aug. 31, Gallagher finished third (15:19.12) and Carleo finished eighth (15:38.97).
The CCSU Mini Meet is the final race for the Friars before heading to Kenosha, Wis. on Nov. 2 for the BIG EAST Championships.
