KANSAS CITY, MO. – The Providence College volleyball team falls to UMKC, 0-3, on Saturday, Sept. 8 in Kansas City, Mo. The Friars finish the Kangaroo Classic 2-2, with an overall record of 6-4, thus far this season. Providence will return home to host Bryant University on Sept. 11 at 7:00 p.m.
UMKC MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:
- Providence falls to UMKC 0-3
- As a team, Providence recorded 39 kills, 36 assists, 38 digs and five total team blocks
- The Providence offense was led by Allison Impellizeri (Seaford, N.Y.) with 14 kills, hitting a .579 percentage
- Allison Barber (Woodbury, Minn.) recorded 32 assists, leading all players in the match
- Mackenzie Taylor (Holbrook, N.Y.) led the Friars' defense with 10 digs, while Alderson was not far behind with eight digs
- Teammates Impellizeri and Taylor earned All-Tournament Team honors
WHAT'S NEXT: The Friars will then return home to Providence, R.I. to host Bryant University on Sept. 11 at 7:00 p.m.
