PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College volleyball fell to Bryant at home on Sept. 11 in a match played at Alumni Hall. With the loss the Friars are now 6-5 on the season, while Bryant improved to 8-4.

FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â
- The Friars dropped the first set to the Bulldogs, 25-12.Â

- Allison Barber (Woodbury, Minn.) contributed to the Friars on offense, tallying eight assists.

- Mackenzie Taylor (Holbrook, N.Y.) recorded three digs to lead the Friars defensively in the first set.

SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS:
- Providence took an early lead in the second set and never looked back winning, 25-16.

- The Friars held the Bulldogs to a .030 hitting percentage.

- Providence tallied three total team blocks.

- Alderson led the Providence attack with five kills, recording a positive hitting percentage of .714.Â

- Root and Impellizeri were not far behind contributing four kills apiece.

- Barber recorded 13 assists,to lead all players in that set.

- Taylor and Root helped defensively tallying six and five kills, respectively.

THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Friars fell to the Bulldogs in the third set, 25-14.

- Sarah Daneliak (Naperville, Ill.) and Impellizeri recorded four and three kills apiece to lead the Friars' offense in the third set.

- Barber led all players in the set with eight assists.

FOURTH SET HIGHLIGHTS:Â
- The Friars win a back and forth battle in the fourth set, 25-23.

- Providence had two total team blocks.

- Root and Alderson recorded four and three kills, respectively.Â

- Barber recorded 13 assists to lead all players in the set.

- Taylor contributed to the Friars' defense, totaling a team-best nine digs.

FIFTH SET HIGHLIGHTS:
- Providence dropped the fifth set, 15-10.
