CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Providence College men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to the Harvard Crimson on Monday, Sept. 3 at Jordan Field.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
- Providence dominated the opening 30 minutes of play, controlling the pace and recording the first seven shots of the game.
- Harvard was able to take the lead on a counter-attack. Sebastian Linder-Liaw dribbled to the end line and played the ball to the center of the six-yard box for a one-time finish by Cesar Farias. His goal came at 36:29 and marked the Crimson's first shot of the game.
- Jack Miler doubled Harvard's lead, scoring a goal with just three seconds remaining in the first half. Paolo Belloni-Urso served a corner kick into the box that Miler headed past the outstretched Colin Miller (Bel Air, Md.).
- Tiago Mendonca (Faro, Portugal) tallied his team-leading third goal of the season just four minutes into the second half. Joao Serrano (Evora, Portugal) served a corner kick into the box that Mendonca headed home to cut the deficit to 2-1.
- The Friars outshot the Crimson 14-4 in the game. Matt Freese made four saves for Harvard, while Colin Miller made just one.
