INDIANAPOLIS, IND. –  The Providence College volleyball team falls to Butler in straight sets on Saturday, Sept. 29 in Indianapolis, Ind. The Friars' overall record is 7-8 and have a 1-3 record in the BIG EAST. Providence will return to action at home against St. John's on Oct. 5 at 6:00 p.m. in Alumni Hall.

BUTLER MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:
- Providence falls to Butler, 0-3.

- As a team, Providence recorded 33 kills, 33 assists, 45 digs and one total team block.

- The Providence offense was led by Jenae Alderson (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) with 12 kills, while Addison Root (Wichita, Kan.) was not far behind with 11 kills. Â

- Alderson's total kills led all players in the match. Â

- Allison Barber(Woodbury, Minn.) tallied 31 assists to lead all players in the match.

- Mackenzie Taylor(Holbrook, N.Y.) led the Friars' defense with 16 digs, leading all players in the match.

- Katie McLellan (Huntersville, N.C.) contributed to the Friars' defense with eight digs, respectively.Â
