GAME FLOW & NOTES
- Shots were 4-3 in favor of the Musketeers after the first half. The Friars' best chance of the half came in the first minute of play. Joao Serrano (Evora, Portugal) was over the ball for a free kick just outside the box, but his attempt sailed high.
- Serrano redeemed himself with a beautiful free kick in the 68th minute. His shot from the top of the box curled around the wall and past Zachary Nelson to give the Friars a 1-0 lead.
- Danny Griffin (Wethersfield, Conn.) provided an insurance goal for Providence in the 89th minute. Gil Santos (Parede, Portugal) won the footrace to a through ball and played it across the field to the feet of Griffin. He pushed it past his defender and slotted it into the far post.
- Santos' assist was the first of his career.
- Colin Miller (Bel Air, Md.) made two saves in the game. He recorded his third shutout of the season and 16th of his career.
