Parker earned the league's weekly honor roll recognition for the second time this season.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College junior field hockey player Allyson Parker (Orange, Mass.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Sept. 24.  It marked the second time this season that Parker has been named to the league's weekly honor roll, having previously been recognized on Sept. 3.

Parker tallied the game-winning goal for the Friars in a, 3-2, double-overtime victory against BIG EAST foe Temple on Sept. 21 in Philadelphia, Pa.  Parker came through for Providence during a penalty corner, with 3:44 remaining in the second overtime.  It marked her team-best sixth goal of the season, and fourth game-winning goal.  In the game vs. Temple, all three of Parker's shots were on target (1.000 SOG%).

Parker leads the Friars in scoring this season with 15 points on six goals and three assists.  Each of her totals mark single-season career highs.  Additionally, she has registered at least one point in six games, including each of the last three.

The Friars return to action on Friday, Sept. 28 against BIG EAST opponent Villanova.  The match will be played at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I. and is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
