Piper Cline Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll For Field Hockey

Cline registered her first career multi-goal game in a 2-0 week for the field hockey team.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College junior forward Piper Cline was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for field hockey on Sept. 15. 
 
Cline earned conference recognition for the first time after helping Providence post a 2-0 record last week and scoring two goals. The Friars notched a 4-1 win over Sacred Heart on Sept. 11 and closed the weekend with a 2-1 victory against Hofstra. During Sunday's victory over Hofstra, Cline registered the first multi-goal game of her career at Providence to secure the Friars' win.
 
Providence College currently owns a 5-1 overall record and is the midst of a five-game win streak, including three-consecutive victories on the road. The Friars are set to open BIG EAST Conference play on Friday, Sept. 18 against 15th-ranked Old Dominion. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. in Norfolk, Va. Providence will conclude the weekend schedule with a road game against cross-city rival Brown on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 4:00 p.m. The match-up between the Friars and Bears also will be broadcast on ESPN+.
