GAME HIGHLIGHTS & NOTES

- The game was scoreless through the first half of play, 0-0.

- In the opening 35 minute, Providence led in shots (9-0), shots on goal (4-0) and penalty corners (5-0).

- Seven different players recorded at least one shot attempt for Providence in the first half.

- The Friars maintained control of the game in the second half, including a spurt of six-straight penalty corners during a five-minute span that began with 10:59 remaining on the clock.

- Brown called a timeout with 5:43 remaining in the game and neither team generated much attack until the Friars were awarded a penalty corner inside of 4:00 minutes left.  It marked their 13th corner of the game and proved to be the difference as junior Allyson Parker (Orange, Mass.) scored her first goal of the season.

- Parker's goal was assisted by Amanda Collins (San Diego, Calif.) and Maddie Babineau (Milton, Ontario).

- Brown replaced their goalkeeper with a kicking-back for the remainder of the game to gain an extra attacking player.  The move proved beneficial as the Bears earned their first penalty corners of the game, which yielded three shots in the final 1:33 of play. The third and final penalty corner was played out with no time remaining on the clock.

- The Bears' first shot was turned away by goalkeeper Lydia Rice (Carle Place, N.Y.), the second whistled wide of the cage off of Rice and the third was stopped by Collins with a defensive save.  Providence then cleared the ball from the circle to end the game.

- The defensive save marked Collins' second of the season.

- For the game, Providence led in shots (16-4), shots on goal (7-3) and penalty corners (13-3).
