The Friars downed host Dartmouth, 5-3, on Sunday night.

HANOVER, N.H.  – Scott Conway scored twice and Brandon Duhaime added three assists as a second period outburst gave the No. 10/11 Providence College men's hockey team a 5-3 win over Dartmouth in the championship game of the 2018 Ledyard Classic on Sunday night at Thompson Arena.

NOTES
- The Friars jumped on the board early just 2:32 into the game on Jack Dugan's seventh strike of the season, finishing off a drive to the net by Kasper Björkqvist.
- The Big Green responded with a pair of goals 3:27 apart off the sticks of Alex Jasiek and Connor Yau.
- Providence exploded for four goals in a span of 3:46 early in the second period.
- Ryan Tait notched his first goal of the season, a shorthanded marker to tie the game at 2-2.
- Off the ensuing faceoff, Scott Conway buries his sixth goal of the year just nine seconds later.
- The Friars cashed in on the power play minutes later as Vimal Sukumaran finished off a cross-ice pass from Josh Wilkins.
- Conway added his third goal of the weekend just 1:16 later to give the Friars a 5-2 lead through 40 minutes.
- Providence killed off two penalties in the third period as the Big Green began to make a push in the Friars' zone.
- Will Graber cut the lead to 5-3 with 1:27 remaining in regulation to close out the scoring.
- Wilkins extended his career-long point streak to eight games (4-10-14).
- Björkqvist currently rides a six-game point streak (3-6-9), which matches a career-long.
- Duhaime recorded his second three-point effort in the last three games and his first career three-assist game.
- Providence was outshot by an opponent for the first time this seasaon.
- The Friars now hold a season-long six-game unbeaten streak (4-0-2) and winning streak (4 games).
- Scott Conway was named the tournament MVP, while Hayden Hawkey was named the top goaltender.
- Brandon Duhaime and Josh Wilkins earned All-Tournament Team accolades.
