TALKING POINTSÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Providence completed the two-game sweep over Merrimack on Saturday in a wild 7-5 victory that saw the teams combine for 50 penalty minutes.
- Seven different Friars found the back of the net on Saturday night.
- After scoring 13 seconds into Friday night's game, Conway got the Friars rolling 21 seconds in with his third goal of the season.
- Wilkins and Dugan extended the Friar lead to 3-1 on goals 2:01 apart.Â
- The Friars held a 17-4 edge in shots during the second period, but the Warriors struck twice in the period to draw the game close. Michael Babcock knotted the game at 3-3 at 4:41.
- Goals by
Tyce Thompson and Kasper Björkqvist 11 seconds apart midway through the period gave the Friars a 5-3 lead before Chase Gresock made it a 5-4 game.

Brandon Duhaime responded with his fifth goal of the season at 15:13 and
Greg Printz added his fourth of the season to put the Friars up 7-3 after two periods.

- Providence scored at least seven goals in back-to-back games for the first time in the
Nate Leaman era. It marked the first time the Friars scored seven goals in back-to-back games since 2007 and the first time they did it on the same weekend since January 1990.
- Dugan has posted five goals and seven assists in six Hockey East games this season. He leads all NCAA freshmen in scoring with 14 points and was named Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Monday.
- Björkqvist, Duhaime, Dugan, and Thompson scored in both games against Merrimack this weekend.

SERIES HISTORY VS. DENVER
• Providence and Denver will face-off for the fourth and fifth times since 2015. It will mark the Friars' first visit to Magness Arena since 2000.
• The Friars are 2-0-1 in their three recent meetings against the Pioneers, which included a 4-1 win at the 2015 East Regional Final in Providence. In 2016, the Friars were the only team to win a two-game series against the eventual national champion Pioneers.
• All-time, the Friars are 4-3-1 on the road against Denver dating back to 1985.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
• The Pioneers are coming off a two-game series split against then No. 1 Minnesota Duluth last weekend. Denver claimed game one by a score of 2-0 before the Bulldogs erased a 3-0 deficit in game two and won 4-3 in overtime. Overall, the Pioneers are 5-1-1 on home ice this season.
• The attack is led by senior Jarid Lukosevicius and freshman Emilio Pettersen who have totaled 13 points in 10 games thus far. In total, Denver has six players that have registered double-digit point totals so far - Lukosevicius, Pettersen, Liam Finlay, Cole Guttman, Brett Stapley and Ian Mitchell.
• In goal, sophomore Devin Cooley has gone the distance for the Pioneers this season, recording a 2.20 GAA and .928 save percentage.
• Head Coach David Carle, a graduate of Denver in 2012, is in his first season at the helm of the Pioneers after replacing Jim Montgomery, who is now coaching the Dallas Stars.

DUGAN NAMED HOCKEY EAST ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Freshman
Jack Dugan was named Hockey East Rookie of the Month for October after posting seven points in six games. He was the first Friar rookie to earn the honor since Anthony Florentino in March of 2014.

Fifteen different players have scored the Friars' 42 goals through 11 games. Overall, 19 players have recorded at least one point this season.

ELEVEN GAMES TO AIR ON NBC SPORTS BOSTON
Providence College Athletics announced that NBC Sports Boston, the broadcast home of the Boston Celtics will televise 11 men's hockey home games during the 2018-19 season. Eight of the 11 games will be shown live, while the remaining three games with be tape delayed following the conclusion of Celtics coverage.
