OMAHA, NEB. – Providence College volleyball drops match against Creighton on the road on Nov. 16 in Omaha, Neb. With the loss the Friars are now 8-20 on the season and are 2-15 in BIG EAST play. The Friars will return to action tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. (ET) for their final match of the season against the Creighton Bluejays.
FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS:
-Providence dropped the first set, 25-12.

Allison Impellizeri (Seaford, N.Y.) and
Lindsey Schaible (Tampa, Fla.) led the Friars' attack tallying two kills apiece.
-Schaible recorded a hitting percentage of .667 in the first set.
-
Allison Barber (Woodbury, Minn.) recorded four assists to contribute to the Providence offense.
-Each of the Friars recorded one dig a piece.
SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS:
-The Friars fell to the Bluejays, 25-19.
-
Jenae Alderson (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and
Addison Root (Wichita, Kan.) were the strong forces for the Providence offense in set two, recording four and three kills, respectively.
-Schaible and Impellizeri contributed to the Friars' attack with two kills apiece.
-Barber assisted the Providence offense recording ten assists.

Mackenzie Taylor (Holbrook, N.Y.) and Root played a defensive second set tallying two digs apiece.
-On the front line, Schabile, Impellizeri and Alderson each recorded one block.
THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS:
-Providence was edged by Creighton in the third set, 25-22.
-Alderson led the Friars' attack recording four kills, while Root was not behind with three kills.
-Barber tallied nine assists, to lead all players in the set.
- Root led the Friars' defense recording six digs, to lead all players in the set.
MATCH NOTES:
-The Friars fell to the Bluejays, 3-0.
-As a team, Providence recorded 29 kills, 26 assists, 27 digs and six total team blocks.
- Alderson led the Friars' offense recording nine kills, while Root and Schaible were not far behind recording six kills apiece.
-Schaible recorded a hitting percentage of .857.
-Barber recorded 23 assists in the match.
-Root led the Providence defense with nine digs.
-Impellizeri totaled two solo blocks.
