Volleyball Falls To Creighton, 3-0

The Friars dropped their final match to Creighton, 3-0 on the road on Nov. 17.

OMAHA, NEB. – Providence College volleyball falls to Creighton on the road on Nov. 17 in Omaha, Neb. With the loss the Friars end their regular season 8-21 and 2-16 in BIG EAST play. 
 
FIRST SET HIGHLIGHTS: 
-Providence dropped the first set, 25-15. 
 
-Addison Root (Wichita, Kan.) led the Friars' attack tallying four kills, to lead all players in the set.
 
-Allison Impellizeri (Seaford, N.Y.) contributed to the Providence offense with two kills and a hitting percentage of .500.
 
-Allison Barber (Woodbury, Minn.) totaled seven assists in the first set. 
 
-Mackenzie Taylor (Holbrook, N.Y.) recorded four digs, while Barber was not far behind recording three digs, respectively. 
 
SECOND SET HIGHLIGHTS:
-The Friars fell to the Bluejays, 25-18.
 
-Sarah Daneliak (Naperville, Ill.) and Root were the strong forces for the Providence offense in set two, recording three and two kills, respectively.
 
-Barber assisted the Providence offense recording seven assists.
 
-Root and Jenae Alderson (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) led the Friars' defense tallying two digs apiece.
 
THIRD SET HIGHLIGHTS:
-Providence was edged by Creighton in the third set, 25-18. 

-Impellizeri led the Friars' attack recording two kills, respectively.  

-Barber tallied five assists in the third set. 

-Barber led the Friars' defense recording three digs. 
 
MATCH NOTES:
-The Friars fell to the Bluejays, 3-0.
 
-As a team, Providence recorded 22 kills, 20 assists, 25 digs and four total team blocks. 
 
-Root led the Friars' offense recording seven kills, while Impellizeri was not far behind recording five kills. 

-Barber recorded 19 assists in the match.
 
-Barber led the Providence defense tallying seven digs, while Taylor was not far behind with six digs.
